So you've decided you want a metal roof on your house or business... now what? Below are the steps you'll need to go through to get your metal roofing project going.
BUILDING CODES
The first step is determine your building codes. Most counties and city governments have codes and specifications governing construction in their areas. Check with your local code authority to review metal roofing requirements. Also check any local neighborhood associations which may have restrictions or guidelines concerning metal roofing. Installation instructions and windload capabilities are provided by Mueller.
PRODUCT SELECTION
We have a wide selection of panel types and colors from which you can choose. Visit with your sales representative about panel styles and colors. We will be happy to send you a color chart or color samples of the actual metal. You can see our panel selection and available colors in our Panels section. QUOTING PROCESS
In order to accurately quote your roof, we'll need the measurements on your roof. If you want to do this yourself, we have a measurement guide that shows you what measurements we need. We also offer a site visit service (in Texas only) where, for a small fee, we will come out to your location and measure your project. This will allow us to present you with a formal and accurate quote. We will provide you with a schematic of your house showing how the panels will lay out. Click here for an example. This will help show where the panels will be plus provide an accurate materials list for the project.

ORDERING
Once financing is in place, you'll need to place your order with your sales representative. An initial deposit of 25% is required to proceed with the order, then the final payment due at delivery. Mueller accepts cash, checks (with proper identification), Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
INSTALLATION
Many of our customers are do-it-yourselfers and will want to install the roofing themselves. Mueller provides installation instructions for those occasions. Mueller also provides assistance with the installation aspects of your project through the Mueller Assurance program.
