15th Helping Hand Project Application is now open

Arms of Hope is a Christian care organization that assists children and single-mother families in need. Through its Residential Child Care, Together, College and Career, Right Start, and Outreach Ministry programs; Arms of Hope is committed to providing a safe haven and Christian environment for children and single-mother families by helping them avoid homelessness, poverty, abuse, and neglect and by leading them to lives of sustaining and productive citizenship.

Servolution Network of Azle, Texas, builds an alliance between churches, businesses, governments, and others to provide solutions to meet the needs of the community. Their “Good Neighbors” program builds and revitalizes homes for those in need while their “Pay It Forward” program blesses those in the community with furniture, appliances, and other needed household items. The Mueller Dream Center will enable them to serve even more households in Azle and the surrounding area.

Azleway has been faithfully restoring lives and relationships of children in crisis since 1979 bringing them hope and opportunity. The goal is to bring each child into a caring environment where they receive structure, compassion, educational opportunities, and coping skills. Their new Mueller building will provide a vocational training and experiential learning site for the children they serve.

For 20 years, Refuge Services of Lubbock, Texas has provided equine therapy services to individuals in West Texas.  Their mission is to enhance individual, family and group functioning by providing opportunities to develop skills for solving problems, overcoming obstacles and reaching individual as well as group goals.  Their new Mueller building will provide office and therapy space that is necessary to meet the growing needs of the communities they service.

Family Ties Family Resource Services of Waller, Texas provides therapy and advocacy services for victims, especially children, dealing with abuse of every type.  Their new Mueller building will be used as a residence for those in transition from CPS and foster care to a life of independence.

CHRC is a Christ-centered resource center in San Antonio that empowers individuals and families in crisis to become sustainable through holistic individualized services, accountability and grace.  Their new Mueller building enables them to provide critical needs to the community such as therapeutic counseling, intervention and prevention programs and advocacy services.

As the largest food pantry in Wichita County and surrounding counties, Floral Heights Community Food Pantry serves over 3,000 families each month.  They were facing a relocation deadline and a new Mueller building helped them continue providing services to the clientele and others in need in the area.

The Arc promotes inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in all aspects of the community.  Currently serving over 400 individuals and families in the Southeast Texas region, their services include activities for both children and adults, parent support groups, vocational training and legislative advocacy.  With their new Mueller building, The Arc was able to expand their services to more individuals in their region.

The dedicated professionals of Ruth's Place in Granbury provide free medical and dental care to low income and uninsured residents of Hood County, Texas.  With the addition of their new Mueller building, Ruth's Place was able to expand medical services and community outreach programs, as well as accommodate additional volunteer to support their growth.

The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Center in Corpus Christi provides services and support to people with hearing loss in 23 counties in South Texas.  Their mission is to provide a vital link of resources, services and advocacy to persons of all ages experiencing hearing loss in a hearing world.  Their new Mueller building allowed to expand their services to more individuals in their area.

The Scheib Center has been providing mental health services in the San Marcos area for years and needed to expand capacity to fully serve the needs of their community.  Their new Mueller building provided the expansion they needed to provide to provide services and support to more individuals in need.

The West Texas Gifts of Hope mission is to assist patients undergoing cancer treatments by providing lodging and other services.  Many patients travel over 200 miles for treatment and must stay for an extended period of time.  The added expense of lodging is a major concern that WTGOH can now help relieve.  Their new Mueller facility will be utilized as a four bedroom HOPE HOUSE within walking distance from the West Texas Cancer Center, with plans to expand to an eight room facility soon.

Buckholts is a small Texas community, but their volunteer fire department has a very broad area to cover.  Their trucks were not being kept in a safe and dry place, nor at a central location - impeding both response times and badly weathering their trucks and equipment.  Mueller was happy to give Buckholts VFD a new place to call home.

As a growing food bank, Titus County Cares in Mount Pleasant serves over 850 families a month, which includes supplying food to hungry children with the "Backpacks For Kids" program.  They had been storing food in 9 locations around the city and were in dire need of a central place for all their services.  Mueller built a facility that enabled them to efficiently serve their community.
