The following is a summary of benefits provided to employees of Mueller, Inc. All new employees will receive a detailed packet of information about eligibility, enrollment and other important information upon reporting to work at the appropriate location. 

Health Benefits

Health Insurance

Mueller offers market-leading and comprehensive medical/prescription drug plan benefits. Coverage is available for all full-time employees and their eligible dependents (e.g., spouse, children).

Flexible Spending Account

Health and dependent care flexible spending accounts are available to employees. This voluntary benefit provides employees with a tax advantage that can help pay health care and dependent care expenses on a pre-tax basis.

Income Protection Benefits

Long-Term Disability Insurance

Mueller provides LTD insurance to qualified employees which gives them the security of knowing that if they become disabled, replacement income is available to help them maintain their present lifestyle. This benefit is provided at no cost to employees. 

Occupational Illness & Injury

Mueller, Inc. provides Workers' Compensation coverage to protect employees from the loss of wages and provide medical treatment service and cost coverage due to a job-related injury or illness.

Survivor Benefits

Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance

A life insurance policy is provided at no cost to all full-time employees at the rate of 1.5 (150%) of the employee's qualified annual earnings. An accidental death & dismemberment insurance policy is also provided at no cost to all full-time employees.

Dental Benefits

Voluntary Dental Insurance

Mueller offers a comprehensive voluntary dental benefit plan.  Coverage is available for all full-time employees and their eligible dependents (e.g., spouse, children).

Retirement Benefits

401(k)

Mueller, Inc. provides a 3% contribution of qualified wages to company employees based on certain eligibility requirements.

Paid Time Off

Paid Time Off (PTO) Bank

Mueller provides a generous paid time off (PTO) bank benefit to hourly/non-exempt full-time employees with paid time away from work that can be used for a variety of reasons such as vacation, personal time, personal illness/injury, jury duty, funeral leave, care of dependents, etc. These employees are eligible for 2 weeks of PTO after 1 year of service, 3 weeks after 5 years of service, and 4 weeks after 15 years of service. The PTO benefit also includes a generous extended paid leave provision for personal illness or injury according to policy requirements. 

Paid Vacation & Sick Leave

Salaried/exempt and salaried/non-exempt (sales) employees are eligible for traditional paid vacation benefits, e.g., 2 weeks of paid vacation upon hire date and generous paid sick leave benefits according to company policies. 

Holidays

All full-time employees are eligible for 6 paid holidays each calendar year (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day) and any additional holidays approved by management.

Individual & Family Well Being

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Employees and their immediate family members are provided up to 8 counseling sessions per problem per year to help resolve personal issues such as stress, emotional/mental problems, marital/family problems, financial difficulties, alcohol/drug abuse, work related difficulties, and grief/loss issues. Sessions are provided at no cost to the employee or his/her immediate family member.
